Confirm with sales

Apple offered the 10-core M1 Pro with a 14-core or 16-core GPU (its India 10-core standard model used the 16-core GPU). Neither the owner’s details nor the supplied photos establish which this unit has — confirm with sales, e.g. from About This Mac.

H.264, HEVC, ProRes and ProRes RAW acceleration

One video decode engine, one video encode engine and one ProRes encode and decode engine on M1 Pro. Unlike the later M3 Pro, no AV1 decode is listed.

32 GB

Unified memory shared by the CPU and GPU; this is not SSD storage. Apple India’s configurator offered 32 GB (+₹40,000 at launch) as a custom option on the 10-core M1 Pro model — a configure-to-order combination, not a separate retail SKU.

200 GB/s

Bandwidth is not RAM clock speed or transfer rate in MT/s.

Do not substitute a bandwidth figure for MHz or MT/s.

Not user accessible; no later memory upgrade

Apple’s India store configurator: “Unified memory is not user accessible. If you think you may need additional memory, it’s a good idea to add it now.”

16 GB or 32 GB with M1 Pro

Apple’s factory options, not later upgrades. 64 GB required M1 Max.

1 TB SSD

The 10-core M1 Pro model’s standard storage in India. Formatted usable capacity is lower.

Not user accessible; no later internal SSD upgrade

Apple’s India store configurator: “Storage is not user accessible.” External storage is a separate option.

512 GB, 1 TB, 2 TB, 4 TB or 8 TB with M1 Pro

Apple configure-to-order options at purchase. Apple’s own test footnotes document a 14-inch M1 Pro with 8 TB, so the full range applied to M1 Pro.

Liquid Retina XDR · 1,000,000:1 contrast

Silver, Space Grey

The photographed unit is Silver; Apple India’s 10-core standard models were MKGQ3HN/A (Space Grey) and MKGT3HN/A (Silver), and either finish could take the 32 GB build. Finish availability at SPURGE is confirmed on enquiry.

70 Wh lithium-polymer

Apple footnotes the actual rating as 69.6 Wh.

Up to 17 hours (Apple TV app)

Apple’s 14-inch tests used preproduction 8-core M1 Pro units with 16 GB and 512 GB SSD, in September 2021, with brightness 8 clicks from the bottom.

Up to 11 hours

Same tested configuration as the movie claim. Actual runtime varies with apps, settings, network and battery wear.

Capable with the 96W USB-C adapter included with the 10-core CPU

Apple includes the 96W adapter with 10-core M1 Pro models, the same adapter listed for fast charge. Charge time varies with conditions.

Each port supports charging and DisplayPort. The advertised maximum is not measured throughput.

HDMI (up to 4K at 60 Hz) · SDXC card slot · MagSafe 3 · 3.5 mm headphone jack

Apple does not state an HDMI version on this page. The headphone jack supports high-impedance headphones.

Not included in Apple’s built-in port list

Account for adapters or a dock if your peripherals or network need these connections. VGA, DVI and Thunderbolt 2 displays work via adapters sold separately.

Two displays up to 6K at 60 Hz over Thunderbolt; the HDMI port drives one display up to 4K at 60 Hz. More external displays required M1 Max.
